My Soul Runs

Oil Paint on Wood Panel

48 x 24 inches

This artwork invites the viewer into a moment suspended between desire and restraint, curiosity and caution. Inspired by the ancient archetype of the forbidden fruit, from the Tree of Knowledge in Abrahamic traditions to the universal human temptation for more. The work transforms a scriptural metaphor into a personal reflection.

The viewer is confronted with a choice: to take the fruit, or not. This choice is not religious. It is existential. It is the same question humanity has faced across time and cultures:

What do we want, and what are we willing to give up to get it?

The veil becomes a portal. The fruit becomes a mirror. Paradise is no longer a promised land - but a metaphor for clarity, fulfillment, or self-possession. Whether you reach for it or resist it, your choice reveals something sacred: the architecture of your own longing.

Do we choose what is easy and immediately gratifying, or what is meaningful and eternal?
