Shell II, 2025
Oil on Canvas
20 × 20 in
Shell II continues the spiral as a language of return, origin, and internal orientation. The center is not an endpoint, but an axis: a point where movement gathers before extending outward again. In this work, the spiral suggests a rhythm of becoming that does not move in a straight
line. Growth appears as circling, deepening, and re-entering the conditions from which life first emerges. Rather than reading inward
movement as regression, the painting frames it as recognition — a return to our source.
